An Impromptu Interview with Dr. Michael Larkin – New Cornell-Zimmer Organ
The following is an interview with Dr. Michael Larkin about the new Cornell- Zimmer organ. Unfortunately, at the time of the interview, the videographer did not know the name of the company that built the new organ console, so please substitute the words Cornell-Zimmer where the series of ?????? appears on the screen. We apologize for the problem.
Throughout the video there are several musical interludes where Dr. Larkin demonstrates the organ’s capabilities. Be sure to play the video in its entirety to get the full appreciation of the organ’s sound quality!

VIRTUAL MINI ORGAN PERFORMANCE
Our new Cornell-Zimmer organ is such a magnificent instrument! Dr. Larkin is excited to show us some of the many different styles and tones that it can make.
In this first of several virtual programs that Dr. Larkin will be performing, he will play four different pieces that will highlight organ Stops of other instruments to give us an idea what amazing sounds this organ can do! From hearing the “solo instrumental sounds of oboe and flute” as he plays that favorite hymn “Amazing Grace” to a lively African/American spiritual “Ain’t A That Good News,” using more Stops, it will give you the opportunity to appreciate the organ’s beautiful sounds and “colors”!
