REGARDING SUNDAY IN-PERSON WORSHIP SERVICES EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!
You are to love the Lord your God with all of your heart, all of your mind and all of your soul and your neighbor as yourself. So instructs the Great Commandment and so our life of faith calls us to live. In the world in which we live, this commandment is pronounced and compelling. How do we best love our neighbor?
As we all know, the COVID-19 virus is exploding exponentially all across our great country. Within the past weeks, the number of cases, the severity of the illness, and the spread ratio have increased alarmingly.
In light of this reality, the Governor of Delaware has issued a state-wide stay-at-home advisory. Our schools are returning to hybrid instruction and our medical experts continue to advise us to stay at home, wash our hands, wear masks, and remain socially distant. Our Bishop continues to call our Diocese to suspend in-person worship from now until further notice. This is done with the hope that a brief suspension will give time for the spread of the virus to wane, the vaccine to begin to be administered, and for all of God’s people to remain safe.
Recorded services will continue as well as the Wednesday morning Drive-Through Eucharist. In these strange and uncertain times, we can best love our neighbor by staying at home and holding one another in prayer.

A Prayer for all those affected by the Coronavirus
Keep us, good Lord,
under the shadow of your mercy.
Sustain and support the anxious,
be with those who care for the sick,
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may find comfort
knowing that nothing can separate us from your love
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
